We are excited to announce the return of the Guntersville Christmas Boat Parade of Lights again for 2026! This year we will be continuing the Parade of Lights at City Harbor! We had an AMAZING turn out and great time in 2025 along with some great weather. We will be set up in and around City Harbor so that everyone can enjoy the lights immediately following the Guntersville Christmas parade on December 12th, 2026. (Date pending). Contest Rules:

All boats and Sizes of boats can enter.
All boats must register online! Form is at bottom of website.
All boats must be checked in, set up and tied up in the City Harbor area by 5PM. Judging will start at 5:30PM.
Please make everything family friendly!
You must be present to win. Winners will be announced around 7 - 7:30PM Location of announcement will be given to you when you check in.

Is there a charge to enter the parade?

No, all we ask is that you register your boat on the website.

Where will the parade start?

November 20th, 2025 parade will start outside of the Guntersville Marina.

This event is a parade of lights with boats docked in and around City Harbor on December 13th, 2025.

What is the parade route?

The November 20th route will start in front of Guntersville Marina and cross over to Home2 Suites. We will then travel down the outside of City Harbor all the way to the main channel at the 431 bridge making a U-turn and returning to the inside of City Harbor to dock.

No route for the December 13th date, we encourage everyone that wants to join the festivities dock at City Harbor to show off their Christmas lights.

Can any boat enter?

Yes, all boats are welcome.

What are the times?

The November 20th parade will line up at 4:45 PM outside of Guntersville Marina. The parade will start at 5:15PM and end at approximately 5:45PM inside of City Harbor.

Show up early on December 13th to get a good spot! All boats entering the contest must be tied up in the City Harbor area and checked in by 5PM Judging will start around 5:30PM.

When?

November 20th, 2025 City Harbor Tree Lighting Ceremony Boat Parade.

Will the parade continue if it rains?

November 20th, 2025 - Event will only be cancelled in the event of severe weather.

December 13th, 2025 - Since we will be docked, this event will be rain or shine!

If the parade is cancelled when will we know?

November 20th, 2025 - Only cancelled in the event of severe weather.

December 13th, 2025 - No cancellation. The event will be held rain or shine.
